Assistant Athletic Trainer

Job Summary

The role assists in the daily operation of the college training room during the academic year, including the supervision of the use of athletic training equipment and supplies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Works under the supervision of the team physicians in implementing the health care of College athletes.
• Assures coverage of all games and practices of all sports. Responsible for managing and supervising student workers.
• Communicates with coaching staff on the injury status of all their athletes and assists coaches in modifying practices for the injured players. 
• Maintains a good rapport and positive image with the general public and medical community relative to athletic training.
• Serves as a collector and validator within the drug testing program under supervision of director of athletic training.
