Broadcast Intern

Job Summary

Broadcast Intern: 

Duties include, but are not limited to:

Writing press releases
Participate in our broadcasts of every game as a color-commentator, play-by-play, and or public address announcer

Conducting interviews with players, scouts, and or other baseball professionals
Updating the website
Writing post-game articles immediately following the games

Maintaining an accurate book
Operating Stat program during games
Keeping track of and updating team statistics
Set up a live stream of each game on YouTube Live 

Communicating through all Social Media Outlets

Other tasks as needed; we are all part of a team and will help each other accomplish all duties

Requirements for the position include:

Pursuing or completed an undergraduate degree

Passionate about baseball

Knowledge of baseball rules and regulations
Good organizational skills
Good team player with a great attitude
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Previous knowledge and experience of using PointStreak

Knowledge of operating control board, remote broadcasting, and other related production equipment

Knowledge in all Social Media platforms 

Ability and willingness to work varied and long hours including nights and weekends

Time Period

The season runs from mid-June through mid-July, with games played 5-7 days a week. All interns will arrive on May 16th, or as soon as possible (start time is somewhat flexible) and the internship ends shortly after the conclusion of the season.
