Job Summary
Job Summary: This position is the driving sales and operational force behind the execution of the Dallas Stars 50/50 Raffle Program at American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas. The 50/50 Raffle takes place at all Dallas Stars home games with one lucky winner receiving 50 percent of the jackpot proceeds raised from raffle ticket sales each game, while the other 50 percent benefits the Dallas Stars Foundation. The 50/50 Raffle Sales Supervisor will manage the team of sales representatives on game nights, as well as oversee the overall execution of the program. This seasonal position will follow the Dallas Stars hockey schedule from September through April(with potential dates through June). This position is not eligible for remote work.
Essential Functions:
- Supervise and train team members on 50/50 Raffle procedures and sales techniques
- Lead pre-game sales meetings
- Oversee and be point of contact for Foundation volunteers on game nights
- Staff evaluations on a nightly basis to ensure best quality customer service and sales results
- Cash reconciliation and reporting responsibilities for the team Foundation on a nightly basis
- Oversee the setup and take down of program operation
- Create monthly employee schedule
- Assist in the hiring process for game night staff members
- Subject Matter Expert (SME) on the 50/50 Raffle software and hardware technology with the ability to problem solve quickly and effectively
- Assist with in-office needs on non-game days
Job Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience in management or leadership position
- Experience in sales or customer service
- Energetic with the ability to naturally manage both up and down organizational hierarchies
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to multi-task and work efficiently in fast-paced sports environment
- Non-traditional working hours are required for this position while teams are in market
- A passion for charity work and a knowledge of the working environment in professional sports arena
- Must be able to stand and/or walk up to 5-7 hours
Physical Demands and Working Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, walk, sit, climb stairs, use hands and fingers, handle objects and office tools, reach, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, and hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25/40/50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The employee is exposed to an arena environment, with noise levels usually quite loud. The employee is exposed to an office environment, with noise levels usually moderate.
