Job Summary
Position Summary
Maintains and evolves the social media presence with a goal to educate, entertain and inspire current multisport athletes, while creating opportunities to grow the sport and reach a new audience. Develops compelling video content, as well as the opportunity for additional content such as graphics and articles, to distribute across the social media platforms. Passionate about the ever-evolving social media world and always on top of new social trends, products and platforms.
General Duties and Responsibilities:
- Works with Senior Marketing Manager to develop and implement social content calendar
- Monitors and analyzes social analytics to guide strategy and best practices, and implement strategy to grow performance based on KPIs
- Monitor athlete and influencer channels for sharable content, and identifies opportunities for user-generated content
- Stays current with social media landscape, marketing and communication methods and other trends, and adapts approaches as needed to stay attractive and relevant with participants, fans, sponsors and donors — including a focus on reaching the next generation of the sport
- Meet and execute contractual branded content requirements for partners
- Acts as vital customer service arm of organization by responding to member and non-member requests and questions on social in a timely manner
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2-3 years professional experience
- High proficiency with video editing software
- Creative, forward-thinker and innovator with expertise in pop culture and emerging digital/social trends
- A strong communicator
- Bachelor’s degree
- Possesses strong organizational and time management skills to effectively manage multiple projects at a time
- Desire to work within a fast-paced environment as part of a team
- Ability to travel for events and work a flexible schedule, including off-hours, weekends and holidays
- Ability to work long hours at events with time spent on feet, walking around
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment as part of a team atmosphere, including effective coordination with members of other departments.
