Associate Buyer

Job Summary

• Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Merchandising, Retail or similar discipline


• 5 years’ experience of high-volume ($30M+) multi-unit retail merchandising and/or buying for apparel


• Experience with golf related hard-goods a plus


• Proficient with POS (prefer Jonas) and Microsoft office software, specifically strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel

• Strong analytical skills


•  Effective communication abilities


• Able to safely operate a utility vehicle such as, but not limited to, golf carts, utility carts, and shuttle carts

• 
  Collaborate on development of assortment plans based on current partnerships to optimize budgeted sales

• Assist with developing buying plans and negotiations for purchase terms with vendors within budget constraints

• Develop floor plans based on logically positioned product and aesthetically pleasing displays for tournament retail venues while maintaining strong sight lines and maximizing revenue

• Research/test new products and categories to increase revenue


• Work with marketing to present sales promotions and unique products


• Review sales data after events and make go-forward recommendations


• Coordinate training for on-site staff to maximize visual merchandising standards Maintain a brand standard guide for all events


• Special projects or other duties as assigned
