Job Summary



The Head Coach will support the development of the assistant coach and other on-field staff and work collaboratively with all football stakeholders in the organization. 
  • Responsible for the delivery and content of all daily training sessions and match preparation 

  • To lead the interdisciplinary team to provide a holistic individual (Technical, Tactical, Physical and Psychosocial) development plan for each player

  • Allocation of time resources for interdisciplinary team

  • To work cooperatively with the 1st team and Academy staff and to maintain relationships with appropriate stakeholders; both internal and external
  • To work with the assistant coach to deliver 1-to-1 player development support through progressive Individual Development Plans with ongoing specific actionable feedback (training and matches) and regular players (6 week) and stakeholder (12 week) reviews

  • To liaise with the interdisciplinary team, scouting and recruitment department, Sporting Director and other club leadership regarding the retain/release/signing process for all players

  • Submit daily and weekly training logs accordingly to session builder plan

  • Understand and adhere to all Competition Guidelines in all entered competitions
  • Responsible for the implementation of appropriate safeguarding and welfare practices of the wider MLS2 staff.

  • Responsible for the continued development and matriculation of players to 1st team


  • Bachelor’s degree (required)

  • 10+ years’ experience in youth coaching at academy level (age 18 and over)

  • USSF ‘A’ license – minimum (required)

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work with others

  • Ability to work independently, self-starter, enthusiastic, flexible

  • Strong leadership and organizational skills

  • Must have access to reliable transportation to arrive at work site at scheduled time consistently

  • Bilingual Spanish a plus

  • Valid driver’s license

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office; PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
