Communications/Sports Information Specialist

Job Summary

The communications and sports information specialist's responsibilities include assisting the associate director of communications and digital strategy with duties involved in running a highly efficient Division III gameday program. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work directly with coaches developing their sport-specific needs
• Assist with compiling and reporting statistical data
• Establish good working relationships with area media and coaching staff
• Collaborate with the Office of Communications as needed
• Support gameday live streaming, social media, and webcast coverage
• Prepare post game write ups
• Perform additional duties as assigned; duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with or without notice

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma required, Bachelor's degree preferred
• Outstanding oral and written communications skills and attention to detail
• Strong self-initiative and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
• Ability to work evenings and weekends on a regular basis based on game schedules and travel as required
• Experience with Photoshop, Adobe Spark and other graphic design programs desired
• Valid driver's license required and must meet the College's Fleet Safety Policy requirements
