Athletics Dietitian

Job Summary

The Athletics Dietitian reports to the Director and Assistant Director of Sports Nutrition. Primary responsibilities include providing appropriate nutrition strategies to student athletes. The dietitian must also be a collaborator with all disciplines, including nutrition staff, sports medicine, strength and conditioning, and team staff.

Job Requirements

Bachelor Degree in Food and Nutrition, Dietetics, or closely related field. Master's degree preferred.

Able to work well with interdepartmental teams and initiatives

Communicate well and build rapport quickly with students, coaches, adminstrators and other staff

Able to gain and maintain working knowledge of university, Big 12, and NCAA rules and regulations 

Registered Dietitian OR ability to obtain.

Certified (or/eligible) Board Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics (CSSD) preferred.

2-3 years of experience working with nutritional needs of athletes; experience in a collegiate setting preferred.
