Deputy Editor

Job Summary

The Sports Digital Team is looking for a Deputy Editor to join our team in Los Angeles. You will oversee the content strategy, planning, and execution of digital content for prominent sports as well as managing editors and coordinating storytelling efforts.

REQUIRED:

• 5+ years of work experience managing content teams for a major editorial outlet.
• Experience directing content strategy and managing a team of writers and content creators.
• Excellent knowledge of both college sports and the NCAA landscape.
• Detailed knowledge of International Soccer.
• Ability to strategically direct a large team, solving problems and communicating messages throughout the team.
• Outstanding news judgment, skilled storytelling abilities, thorough knowledge of digital best practices and a strong knowledge of journalistic principles and methods.
