Sports Information Assistant

Job Summary

This position will work closely with the Marketing and Public Relations Office. A qualified candidate will look for opportunities to highlight stories about the college's athletic programs, coaches, players, and staff. Familiar with the rules and statistics for each sports program.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Write feature stories, pre-season and post-season write-ups for teams for college athletics website and E-newsletter
• Arrange team photographs, post for college athletics website
• Design and write promotional materials including brochures, flyers, media guides and videos and in collaboration with OMPR
• Develop and maintain appropriate contacts with the local media to better achieve publication and/or coverage of college athletic contests and student-athlete/team success
