Riddell is seeking an experienced and data-minded Software Product Manager to oversee the recently launched InSite Analytics platform. The Software Product Manager is responsible for the interactive applications used by football coaches to analyze player safety and performance through advanced impact data analytics. This role will gather feedback from the field, directly from customers and through Riddell sales reps, and translate those requirements into a cohesive product development plan. Ultimately, this role is tasked with delivering high quality solutions to help football teams monitor player head impact metrics and make better decisions. Position is on-site at our Des Plaines, IL office.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Serve as the point person for all elements of the InSite Analytics software, analytics, and data visualization platform
• Coordinate with all relevant business units to understand customer workflows and product usage to develop best-in-class solutions
• Partner with Senior Management to develop product development roadmap, including product pricing, product positioning, value proposition, and forecasting
• Build an agile work environment that allows for timely deliveries of product suite and fosters an innovative culture
• Coordinate efforts between the internal Riddell team and external software development partner
• Regularly visit with clients and review usage metrics to determine future product development needs
• Create and deliver long-term product vision and strategies aligned with company and management objectives
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Minimum of 5 years experience as a Product Manager
• Minimum of 3 years experience managing people
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Skilled at working effectively with cross functional teams
• Prior experience managing projects involving external development teams
• Strong experience in product lifecycle management
• Knowledge of UI/UX design, APIs, web and mobile software development
• Previous experience in Agile development environments
• Strong knowledge of data, analytics, and data visualization
• Knowledge and interest in the sport of football
• Prior experience in the sports industry is preferred, but not required
