While Basketball Operations runs the league's on-court activities, other departments manage relationships with television and digital media partners, develop marketing partnerships with some of the world's most recognizable companies, oversee the licensing of NBA merchandise, and handle a wide variety of responsibilities that drive the NBA's success.
NBA League Pass is the NBA's premier direct to consumer product allowing fans live and archive access to games from the preseason through the NBA Finals. The product is available in over 215+ countries and territories with multiple subscription options. Users can purchase and consume their subscription on over 15 different platforms.Customer acquisition, churn, different pricing models and household entertainment spend are all key factors in growing the NBA League Pass business. The NBA has partnerships with linear, digital and mobile providers help drive NBA League Pass (LP) awareness, subscribers and revenue.
Through partnerships, the NBA will provide custom bundles that tackle both cost and technology limitations abroad. In order to support these goals, we are actively in development of OPiN, Open Partner Integration Network, a bespoke mBaaS platform. OPiN achieves the above listed goals through (1) entitlement (2) packaging and (3) marketing integration with our partners across the globe.">

Position Description:

Major Responsibilities:
- Provide technical oversight (operations, development) for OPiN Platform and other D2C products.
- Support D2C business through mobile partnerships and partner onboarding.
- Provide technical direction for improvements to OPiN platform, designing and implementing new integration methods and co-branded workflows.
- Design and develop multiplatform SDKs supporting secure, standards-based integration from existing digital products, assessing feasibility, risk, mitigation strategies and technical requirements. Collaborate with multi-functional teams including, ads, analytics, video, social media, etc.
- Provide the guidance, process, and tools required for a standardized onboarding of current and future partner integrations. Identify and evaluate new device and integrations opportunities to improve the capabilities of the OPiN platform.
- Provide a technical roadmap for the continued growth and evolution of OPiN by the NBA.
- Enable the NBA to utilize new media and drive international consumption.
- Provide technical support of D2C streaming products, partner with acquisition of in language streams and streaming endpoints.
Collaborate, educate and improve understanding with all technical teams, translating product requirements into technical plan.
- Developing and managing requirements for new features/enhancements in JIRA or other
- Thinking through all the edge cases when writing clear epics, user stories, tickets
- Mastering the day-to-day-management (grooming, backlog, etc.) of the Agile board
- Testing (not QA) newly developed features
- Giving demos of new features to internal teams for feedback and educational purposes
- Working closely with engineering, client services, and design to ensure nothing slips'
- Supporting and learning from senior product managers
- Executing on several projects concurrently while balancing shifting priorities
- Making decisions based on logic, data, prioritization, and your judgment

Required Experience & Knowledge:
- 7+ years of technical program management experience in an internet-related program or applications environment (or equivalent).
- 5+ years of experience working in the field of mobile application development.
- Technical expertise (in PM or Developer role) supporting launches of new applications or rolling out new features for existing products, preferably in the iOS/Android ecosystem (carriers and OEMs).
- You will utilize your technical expertise in Web technologies such as JavaScript, OAUTH, HTTP, HTML, XML, DNS, and SQL.
- Working knowledge of IaaS platform administration in AWS or equivalent.
- 3+ years of working in an Agile (Scrum) product (mobile, web, tablet) environment.
- Proven track record of getting things done, handling multiple tasks including communication with internal and external teams while consistently delivering on schedule.
- Understanding of SDLC and project planning/execution skills including estimating and scheduling.
- Excellent analytical and interpersonal skills, with ability to work successfully across all engineering disciplines.
Preferred qualifications:
- 3 years of industry experience supporting for subscription, heavy user acquisition or high quality streaming services.
- Experience delivering digital streaming media.
- Confirmed ability to adapt your message to the technical level of the audience, and capacity to communicate technical materials to small groups with ease.
- A deep understanding of business strategy in a fast-growing, large scale environment.
- Independently driven, inventive, and able to deliver results with minimal direction.
- Excellent oral and written interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with developers, product managers, and senior business leaders.

Educational Background Required:
- BS in computer science, electrical engineering or a related technical discipline.
