Job Summary
Responsibilities
Assist the Manager of Athletic Equipment Services and the Assistant Manager with equipment needs of athletic teams.
- Responsible for washing and dispersing of daily practice loops to respective locker rooms.
- Responsible for the washing, drying, hanging of practice uniforms, game uniforms, and warm-ups for all teams.
- Folds towels, and disperses to all locker rooms, as well as the athletic training room daily.
- Maintains athlete property records of all gear issued to them and their sports inventory.
- Set-up and break-down locker room and venues of all athletic events assigned.
- Assist with routine cleaning of athletic equipment and utilization of the OZONE machine.
- Weekly hardware and safety checks of all hockey helmets for men and women.
- Mending and sewing of gear and equipment when needed.
- Handling the visiting team laundry when they arrive and after their morning practice on the day of their game.
- Assist with receiving UPS packages and delivery to the proper destination.
- Assists and works directly with all coaches for all teams' equipment requirements daily.
- Assist Equipment staff with all other aspects of equipment as needed.
Professional Experience/ Qualifications
- A current valid driver's license, in accordance with the University's Driver Safety and Motor Vehicle Use Policy is required.
- Must be capable of working collegially with a diverse group of students, faculty, staff, and visitors on a daily basis.
- Experience with athletics, preferably football and/or hockey desired.
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
