Soccer Writer/Stringer Internship

Looking for a writer/stringer for a new startup soccer media outlet based in the Southeast, with an initial focus on covering one or both of the two Chattanooga professional teams (Chattanooga FC in MLS NEXT Pro, Chattanooga Red Wolves in USL) for the 2024 season. Responsibilities include creating ~250 word game summaries, as well as digital photography of event, players, etc. for reporting and social media purposes. 

This is not a fully paid position and would include a small stipend per game story submitted. Perfect opportunity for a college journalism student, and/or soccer enthusiast with an interest in building their writing portfolio. No formal journalism or reporting experience required, but must have knowledge of basic soccer rules and terminology (e.g. offsides, player positions), and ability to write copy with minimal editing.
