The Marketing and Communications team enjoys traveling to execute events, presenting exciting ideas to partners, and interacting with consumers on behalf of the Little League brand to positively impact youth and communities around the world. We are behind the scenes at the Little League World Series, broadcast exclusively on ESPN platforms creating unprecedented experiences for players, coaches, and countless fans at one of the most iconic venues in all of sports.

ACCOUNT MANAGER, MARKETING – WILLIAMSPORT, PA BASED

 

Little League International in Williamsport, PA is looking to hire a full-time Account Manager to join our Marketing and Sponsorship team. Individuals who would like to work for an established nonprofit organization that plays a positive role in the lives of millions of youths around the world and who enjoys facing an evolving set of business and technological challenges are encouraged to apply.

 

This full-time exempt position is Williamsport-based position, Hybrid Eligible (1 to 2 days per week) after training. The ideal candidate must be willing to relocate to North Central, PA and relocation assistance is available. While most work is done during normal business hours, occasional peaks in workload during the summer, and special events may require working in the evenings and on weekends. Occasional (<25%) travel is required by both land and air to provide on-site event management, attend partnership meetings, and other travel as required.

ABOUT LITTLE LEAGUE INTERNATIONAL

 

Located in South Williamsport, PA, we are the administrative and operational headquarters for Little League Baseball and Softball, the leading nonprofit youth sports organization with 75+ years of history supporting youth baseball and softball.  Little League® is played in approximately 6,500 communities across more than 80 countries around the world. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN ACCOUNT MANAGER AT LITTLE LEAGUE INTERNATIONAL

 

As an Account Manager, you will develop, implement, manage, and maintain all aspects of relationships, including project management, event planning, marketing, communications, and strategic planning. The Account Manager serves as a member of the Marketing Department, providing excellent customer service to all Little League partners, leading the development of relationships and strategies to drive measurable partnership outcomes while also maintaining a solid understanding of the Little League Baseball and Softball program, initiatives, history, and goals.

 

QUALIFICATIONS FOR AN ACCOUNT MANAGER

 

·        Education requirements include a minimum of bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, sport management or related field.

·        Specific industry knowledge and experience including a minimum of 6 years in the sports marketing, sponsorship, event marketing or promotions where it was demonstrated experience developing relationships with key decision makers.

·        Previous experience managing sponsorships and demonstrated project management experience.

·        Previous event management experience.

·        An understanding of marketing, communications, sponsorship and partnership principles and concepts to coordinate integrated marketing campaigns including, but not limited to promotions, digital and social media, advertising, public relations, events, and associated activities.

·        Requires strong attention to detail and organization skills.

·        Requires positive work attitude and professionalism while working in a fast-paced work environment.

·        Physical requirement of the ability to lift boxes up to 30 pounds.

·        Travel is required to meet with partners and to perform event management duties on-site and, as well as any other travel requested by supervisor.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience developing and delivering powerful and persuasive presentations and documents that organize and track partnerships and marketing campaigns using MS PowerPoint, Word, Google Docs, etc.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.

• Proven ability to maintain and grow business relationships.

• Relevant work experience.

• Familiarity with Adobe Suite of products preferred.
