The Company

Vogo North America is seeking a highly motivated and experienced General Manager to lead our team and drive business in the North and Central American markets.   Vogo NA is the US subsidiary of VOGO SA, a publicly traded French based sport tech company which develops innovative audio and video solutions for fans and professionals in the sports, entertainment, and recently in the industrial markets. 

 

Vogo NA is a rapidly growing company based in Tuckahoe, NY with a team of 8 people.   Sales for 2022 were up by +64% YoY with ambition to double the size of the business within 3 years. Current US clients include MLS, MLR, College Divisions 1 and 2 (Football and all sports), and CONCACAF.

 

The General Manager plays a key role in developing our business in the US by managing a team of sales and IT professionals to engage with B2B customers.

 

The ideal candidate should be passionate about sports and have both US and international experience (Central America).

Reports To

Vice President International at Vogo SA (France based)

Directly manages team of 4 Sales Managers, 2 IT Managers, 1 Operation Manager supported by 2 Operation Clerks --Total team of 8 people.

Close working relationship with External Consultant President acting as COO.

 

Location

Tuckahoe, NY - Flexible work with minimum 2 days at office. 

 

Territory

The territory covers the US, Canada and Central America.   Central America is a new market.

 

Responsibilities and Duties

·      Establish the business plans and annual budgets of the subsidiary in correlation with the group's growth and profitability objectives.

·      Structures the organization of the subsidiary, defines and implements a strategy to achieve these objectives and to drive business growth in the North America markets.

·      Manage the sales team to achieve sales targets and develop new business opportunities.

·      Build and maintain relationships with B2B customers in the sport, entertainment and industrial markets.

·      Identify potential new products and services opportunities to meet customer needs.

·      Oversee the IT team to ensure efficient and effective design and operation of the audio/video solutions.

·      Provide regular reports and ongoing communication to the senior management team in France.

·      Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

·      Represent Vogo North America at industry events and conferences.

 

Requirements

·      Minimum of 10 years' proven business development /sales experience in B2B industries with a preference for sports or entertainment or tech industries

·      Strong leadership skills and experience in managing small teams

·      Entrepreneurial spirit /startup mindset, high energy.  Must be a builder.

·      Comfortable managing a tech led business.

·      Passionate about sports

·      Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

·      Ability to travel domestically and internationally.

·      Fluency in Spanish would be an asset.

 

Compensation and Benefits Package

·      Compensation (salary $175K-$225K and bonus) commensurate with experience.

·      Benefits: full medical coverage (single coverage) plus 50% coverage for additional family members; 401K with Company’s contribution (50% up to 6%, vesting 1 year), PTO.
