Responsibilities Access Hollywood is an entertainment newsmagazine that provides viewers with the latest showbiz news, in-depth celebrity interviews, and behind-the-scenes accounts of the most important events in Hollywood. The newsmagazine continues efforts to break new ground by giving viewers the inside stories they want to see helping the show gain substantial growth in popularity and ratings. The weekday half-hour edition of "Access Hollywood" is dedicated to providing comprehensive coverage of the most important entertainment stories of the day in a sophisticated, fun-to-watch style. Its spin-off show, "Access Hollywood Live" is daily show, broadcast live in HD in select markets. Live is hosted by Billy Bush and Kit Hoover. It focuses on the latest celebrity dish, pop-culture and features in-studio celebrity guests.
Job Summary:
The Senior Publicist on Access Hollywood, Access Hollywood Live and Accesshollywood.com is responsible for all day-to-day publicity efforts for the LA based entertainment news magazine brand and programming.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Actively pitch and liaise with journalists across all media platforms-traditional digital and social media, reinforcing and broadening media contacts and strengthening the brand profile.
Collaborate with producers & web team to create daily press blasts, press releases, pitch letters and other material that effectively informs the media and public of programming, interviews, and breaking news.
Create and implement a press strategy to maximize profile publicity for the shows' talent, experts (producers) and Access Hollywood brand. Develop timelines and strategy for advance press coverage of appearances, performances, interviews.
Read and review daily production / interview logs/transcripts, pulling out sound bites which will be disseminated to appropriate press outlets.
Work closely with digital producers and Accesshollywood.com teams to boost exposure of the shows' website.
Work closely with social media producers to maximize social promotion across all of AH social platforms
Develop topics for affiliate hits daily
Research, write, proofread, edit and secure approvals for press releases and assigned written & photo materials.
Oversee crisis management.
Field media requests for information, photography, listings and radio requests for programming and talent; organize photo shoots and set visits as needed.
Provide compilation of daily coverage of the media industry and help organizes a media digest (clip pack) disseminating daily press blasts and press releases and materials as needed.

Qualifications/Requirements Qualifications & Requirements:
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in either of the following: English, Communications, Journalism, Publicity or related field.
5 years previous work experience in entertainment publicity; unit PR experience a plus.
Strong relationships with entertainment press (traditional print press as well as online, blog writers and social media websites).
Excellent communication and writing skills; writing samples will be requested.
Strong knowledge and understanding of social media and digital / online / viral press and publicity.
Must be a self-starter who has the ability to create a well thought out press plan for each of our talent, to maximize publicity, pitching traditional and non-traditional media
Develop a clear and coherent plan on Access Hollywood's big event' coverage (Oscars, Emmy's, Golden Globes, Grammy's, Olympics).
Ability to work successfully in an extremely fast-paced, deadline oriented work environment.
Deep interest and knowledge of all things pop culture which will provide the broad knowledge base necessary to realize what the audience wants to know.
