FINANCE ASSISTANT

JOB DUTIES:

General Finance Assistant

Maintain Speedway Club members account
Update Speedway Club member files
Must provide excellent customer service
Various General Ledger accounting duties, including A/P and A/R
Prepare and input various journal entries
Assist with month end and year end preparation and procedures
Texas Motor Speedway and Speedway Club deposits
Work with the finance office during all events
Answer phone when needed

Additional event duties

Handle a team of 15 event staff and approximately 80 volunteers
Must work outside in ALL weather conditions
Handle issues that arise at gates; i.e. dissatisfied fans and scanner and radio equipment



QUALIFICATIONS:

College graduate preferred;
Must have accounting background/experience
Microsoft Office Suite preferred - strong focus with Excel is a must
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
Professional demeanor
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to handle multiple tasks under pressure
Able to interact effectively and positively with Speedway Club members
