Job Summary

• Set up and tear down tables and chairs


• Sweep and mop floors


• Clean carpets with sweepers and carpet cleaning equipment


• Wash windows and doors, empty trash and operate compactors


• Separate all waste (compost/comingle/mixed paper/construction waste/trash) and empty it into the proper receptacle


• Clean restrooms (scrub toilets and urinals, mop floors, empty trash and restock supplies)


• Assist in outside maintenance (shovel snow, empty trash, sweep sidewalks)


• Perform other duties as assigned

• At least 18 years old 

• General facility cleaning needs and procedures


• Cleaning equipment operation preferred


• General building maintenance preferred


• Tools, materials and supplies commonly used in building cleaning and maintenance a plus


• Ability to understand spoken and written directions


• Work in a team-oriented environment with other part-time, full-time and temporary staff


• Experience in cleaning in an arena/convention center/hotel environment a plus

• Communicate effectively with coworkers and building clients


• Deal tactfully with the general public


• Work on a crew in challenging/pressure situations

• Applicants must be available to work at least 3 days a week – including Saturdays 


• Work with limited supervision


• Spend most, if not all, of a work shift on your feet (5 – 6.5+ hours)


• Lift 25 – 50 pounds unaided


• Climb up and down stairs on a regular basis


• Work outdoors as needed year round


• Work a schedule that includes evenings, weekends and holidays, primarily 2nd shift.
