Position Description: Analyst, Consulting & Valuation

Reports To: Vice President, Consulting and Valuation

Location: Santa Monica, CA / Chicago, IL / New York, NY

Premier Partnerships: Premier Partnerships helps properties optimize their sponsorship revenues. Premier serves clients in two (2) ways – through Consulting, aiming to help a property understand the value of their sponsorship offering and determine the best strategy to take their offering to market, and Sales Representation, aiming to apply our sponsorship strategy in market and maximize revenue.

Position Overview: The analyst will be responsible for researching and delivering valuable insights utilizing analytics, market research and social/digital analysis to develop a meaningful story for our various clients. Once an industry and processes baseline has been established, the analyst will work to learn and apply Premier’s sponsorship valuation methodology. 

Responsibilities:

  • Establish a deep understanding of the Sponsorship landscape across the sports & entertainment landscape
  • Perform detailed research assignments in areas including, but not limited to, industry & asset trends, activation case studies, sponsorship deals analysis, property deep-dives, brand & category research, etc.
  • Analyze multidimensional data sets or information gathered in your research 
  • Translate findings into an easy-to-digest and compelling manner in client deliverables and serve as an authority figure on the information when presenting to clients
  • Develop mastery of Premier’s propriety valuation methodology and processes to build strategies and solutions for clients 
  • Provide strategic inputs to Premier’s marketing collateral for Sales Representation projects and participate in cross-departmental sharing of best practices and collaboration
  • Communicate with internal stakeholders regarding project requirements, interpretation of data, and the development of recommendations based on findings
  • Employ a strong sense of organization to manage tasks across multiple projects at once, while managing client deliverables and requests and communicating progress / delays to the internal team
  • Work closely with your manager and collaborate with your team on data strategies, critical thinking, and problem solving
  • Write reports, proposals and other documents with extraordinary attention to detail, consistency, spelling and grammar

Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of relevant work experience in the sponsorship industry, media planning/buying, or brand activation
  • Bachelor's degree in Sports Management Finance, Statistics, Economics, Market Research, or related field 
  • Successful experience as a project lead with client-facing responsibility
  • Analytical thinker who can evaluate large sets of data and extract meaningful findings and solutions 
  • Possess naturally curious mindset, enthusiasm working with data, strong adaptability, and sense of accountability 
  • Expertise in PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel, including use of formula writing, logic statements, pivot tables, index/lookups, and VBA 
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to simplify data and complex ideas
  • Knowledge of the US sports and entertainment sponsorship landscape a plus but not essential

Other necessary qualifications and characteristics:

  • Strong client relationship management, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail, proactive project management and administrative skills
  • Ability to prioritize and manage workflow in an environment of managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Self-motivated and self-directed
