Ryan Schlyer

When I was at IUSTV, I created my podcast called Schlyde into Sports, and then brought it to the WVLP Radio Station after I graduated. In the show I break down games, talk about top stories while they are in season, and give predictions to games and how teams will do overall in the year. I also promote the show on social media on my own.

I was the Stage Manager for NBC Sports during their coverage of the USA Swimming Toyota National Championships, where Team USA was setting up their roster to compete at the World Championships in Singapore. Shadowed Rowdy Gaines and Jason Knapp while they commentated the meet.

I started my show Schlyde into Sports with Indiana University Student Television, where I honed my craft over the mic and behind the camera, where I hosted and produced the show. I learned how to do post production editing to enhance the show and learned how to talk with the microphone effectively.
