Bobby Alesi

Future Men's College Basketball Head Coach
Staten Island, New York USA

Having 7 years experience of coaching at the high school level as an assistant coach on both, the JV and the Varsity, I have acquired and mastered many skills. My skills towards the game include an unwilling desire to be the best, expertise in scouting, recruiting, practice planning, and game strategy. I am as dedicated as ever to achieve my dream.

Head Coach

Sep 2021 - Present
My expertise and knowledge of the game of basketball has allowed me an opportunity to coach in the AAU Basketball Circuit. I have begun my Head Coaching career as the head coach for the Staten Island Stingrays. My work ethic and dedication towards this chapter in my life has been risen and elevated thanks to the trust of former NYU coach Joe Nesci.

Assistant Coach

Oct 2019 - Present
As Tottenville High School's (in staten island, new york) top assistant coach, it is my duty to oversee, challenge, and assist the head coach in all basketball operations. I have been given the duties of recruitment, scouting, and film studies, as well as, practice planning and major control over game plan and strategies.

Assistant Coach

Aug 2014 - Jun 2016
The start of my coaching career began with a phone call from Coach Tom Byrnes, a well respected and high IQ basketball savant. I spent two years under his wing, soaking up all the information I can from him. Those two years were the perfect first two years I could have had. I now coach alongside my brother, Kevin Alesi, at Tottenville High School.

Special Education - Masters
Jul 2020 - Present
I always loved the atmosphere of high school and college. I loved the unity between students and faculty when it came to their school's sports teams. I decided to chase after my masters degree in teaching so that I can make differences in student athletes lives on and off the court and classroom. I continue to work towards that goal.

Business - Bachelors
Aug 2014 - Jun 2018
When I decided to attend St. Francis College Brooklyn, I wanted to become a walk-on to their Men's Basketball team. I already decided to join Tom Byrnes as his assistant coach at St Joseph by the Sea and was loving every minute of it. I knew I made the right decision of coaching over playing because it allowed me to recognize my dream.
