Jeff Hoffman

Communications program manager and media relations coordinator for women’s basketball, men’s soccer, and men’s and women’s tennis teams. Responsible for regularly creating compelling written copy to keep internal and external audiences informed on team and individual performance via press releases, website content and social media posts.

Hired as seasonal assistant for 2015 season to help with production and distribution of daily game notes, writing copy for game notes and occasional media relations blog posts. Also assisted with statistical research and historical projects.

Hired to become the athletic department’s first full-time sports information director and was solely responsible for directing media relations, event management, ticketing, marketing, and recruiting and training a staff of 10-15 student workers for the department’s 19 sports.

Primary media contact for 10 of the CSUB’s 15 sports including two NCAA Division I level sports: men’s and women’s soccer, cross country, wrestling (NCAA DI), swimming, water polo (NCAA DI) and track and field). Designed and wrote copy for various publications including media guides, game programs, weekly game notes, and press releases.

Assisted in media relations operation for the department’s 14 sports as a student worker while attending Western. Webmaster for athletic department website and statistician for football, volleyball, basketball, and softball. Designed and wrote copy for weekly press notes and game-day programs for volleyball and softball.
