Being the only girl out of my two older brothers, I have grown up around sports and have acquired a passion for it. There is something about the adrenaline and unitisation that sports create that motivates me. As a result, I have turned this passion into reality by covering Georgia sports through the Red and Black and the sports media certificate.

I am pursuing a four year Sports Media Certificate at the University of Georgia. I have taken the introduction class and will take multi-platform next fall. In this class, we have studied how to take statistics and write profiles, covered Georgia basketball games and the Atlanta Olympic Trials through Twitter and gamer stories.

The Red and Black is a student-run newspaper covering the city of Athens and the University of Georga. As a sports writer, I have covered Georgia men's tennis, swimming and diving, and equestrian. This has involved conducting interviews with athletes, writing profile stories, gamers, and press releases.
