Head Athletic director works with a student athlete

College of the Holy Cross is hiring a Head Athletic Trainer.

Additional Duties include:

  • Administration of appropriate athletic training care to all student-athletes, including injury prevention, injury evaluation, emergency care, and injury rehabilitation treatments.
  • Supervise all athletic training staff
  • Work cooperatively with and under the direction of the team physician with respect to rehabilitation procedures.
  • Oversee concussion protocol
  • Coordinate sports medicine staff schedule to ensure medical coverage for all Holy Cross varsity teams’ official practices and games, including travel
  • Refer student-athletes to physicians, Health Services, Counseling Centers, or hospitals
  • Assist with securing authorizations for medical insurance purposes

Recommended Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities include:

  • Master’s Degree in Athletic Training or related field
  • Minimum of 7 years as a National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA) Certified Athletic Trainer
  • Demonstrated experience in sports medicine and the ability to supervise a comprehensive sports medicine program
  • Immediate eligibility for or current Massachusetts state licensure
  • Current CPR, First Aid, and AED certification
  • Must be BOC certified and possess or eligible for NY state athletic training licensure. NPI Number Required.
