Sports Physician - The sports physician is at the center of the sports medicine team. Physical Therapist - Physical therapists can treat patients of all ages who suffer from medical problems, injuries, or health-related problems that affect their daily lives. The purpose of physical therapists is to develop a plan following an examination to try to reduce the client’s pain while restoring function and preventing any permanent injuries.

Dietitian - Dietitians teach and guide clients on how to lead a healthy life while eating a balanced diet and fulfilling their desired athletic goals.

Fitness Directors - Fitness directors control the types of groups that provide exercise classes, or many might maintain the care of equipment. Another role of a fitness trainer is to manage personal trainers and help in developing sales techniques. A fitness director can make up to $42,000 per year, depending on the level of experience.

Yoga Instructor - The primary duties of a yoga instructor are to create a plan and lead groups through various levels of yoga practice and be able to demonstrate and practice techniques. Becoming a yoga instructor requires experience, which you can receive through a yoga teacher training program.

Instructors typically make $415 to $50 per hour for a typical session. The pay can vary with experience or education.

Many fitness jobs applicants assume it’s acceptable to wear workout clothes to a fitness job interview when in fact, you should dress one step up from what you would wear when in that position.

First things first, dress smart casual. Go for a look that’s in between workout clothes and a suit. For men, a button up collared shirt and khaki pants with a belt will be a great start. For women, a skirt or dress pants with a blouse and closed- toed shoes are acceptable.

Secondly, have a neat appearance. For ladies, light makeup and minimal jewelry is the perfect look. Men should be cleanly shaven and wear limited cologne with nicely styled hair.

Finally, make sure you are organized. Bringing extra copies of your resume as well as pen and paper to take notes are key to a successful interview. You should also go into your interview with a couple of follow up questions in mind.

Although you technically do not need a degree to become a sports therapist, it is always a good idea in order to be successful in this field.

Exercise Physiologist - An exercise physiologist is also known as a sports scientist. People in this field use research with athletes to analyze sports and the human body to discover how to perform as best as possible. A Master’s degree is necessary, while a Doctorate degree is common in this field.
