Position: Sales and Marketing Director, Ice

Location: Riedell Skates--Red Wing, MN

Position Summary:  The Sales and Marketing Director will lead all sales and marketing activities for our ice division globally, to include both the Riedell Skate and Eclipse Blade brands.  Director will be responsible for developing strategies for brand positioning within the marketplace and overseeing all B2B and B2C sales channels.  This position will report directly to the CEO. 

Position Responsibilities:

·         Develop annual marketing plan to include advertising, POS media, social and digital media, website and SEO, and expansion of endorsing athletes

·         Design and implementation of sales programs and pricing strategy for ice product lines

·         Manage relationships with existing customer base, relationship building with prospective customers

·         Take an active role in product development process for all ice products

·         Perform market research to include voice of the customer (coaches and skaters), competitive products and pricing

·         Organize and coordinate sales shows and exhibitions, travel to events

Necessary Qualifications:

·         3+ years in sales & marketing position(s) or equivalent experience

·         Strong business sense with knowledge in finance, accounting, and economics

·         Intimate knowledge of ice sports market and sporting goods industry

·         Innovative, organized, and able to prioritize multiple initiatives

·         Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; to include Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications:

·         Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field

·         Passion for sport of ice skating

·         Experience with exhibitions and sales shows
