Mascot Performer

Job Summary

The Quad Cities River Bandits are looking for an enthusiastic, energetic, and passionate individual to perform as the loveable mascot Rascal for the 2016 season. This includes performing for thousands of fans at River Bandits home games and various community appearances. Rascal is a key component to our mission by representing the Quad Cities River Bandits Baseball Club to the surrounding community in a positive and professional manor.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop the character of Rascal, Official Mascot of the Quad Cities River Bandits
• Make community appearances as Rascal, including both weekdays, after-hours, and weekends
• Perform as Rascal at Bandits home games as needed
• Develop and implement mascot skits
• Perform mascot duties in a professional and fan-centered manner
• Help create a fun and energetic atmosphere at every appearance
• Maintain the mascot costume and props

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Must be a high school graduate (college degree preferred)
• Possess a basic knowledge of Minor League Baseball
• Be in good physical condition
• Be able to work in a costume for long periods of time
• Former varsity athlete, cheer, dance or theater experience preferred
