Opportunity Overview
Lumency is seeking a sponsorship marketing professional to join our growing Analytics & Insights team. Our client base consists of some of the world’s biggest brands who have vast investments in sponsorship properties across sports & entertainment, music, arts & culture and community festivals. The Analytics & Insights team specializes in evaluating sponsorship opportunities spanning all of North America, calculating the marketing value of individual proposals in relation to fees and providing strategic guidance to our client’s sponsorship programs. All valuations are performed utilizing Lumency’s TrueValueTM methodology.
Reporting to the Senior Consultant, the Consultant, Analytics & Insights is responsible for the management of valuation workflow, ensuring valuations are complete and accurate and contributing to Lumency’s competency as a data-driven organization.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Analytics & Insights Management
- Work with the Senior Consultant to prioritize valuations and delegate workflow to Associate Consultants within the team
- Quality control of valuations performed by Associate Consultants via communication throughout the process and providing guidance as needed
- Utilize internal tools to track valuation workflow ensuring deadlines are met and make proactive adjustments when necessary to manage client expectations
- Perform sponsorship valuations as required
- Develop POV documents and strategies for approach to property negotiations
- Analyze, understand and extract key information from existing sponsorship contracts
- Work closely with account leads to serve as a subject matter expert in assessing sponsorship opportunities and conveying findings to clients
- Maintain budget control reports to reconcile agency hours and oversee scope of work with clients
- Understand clients’ businesses fully and maintain current industry/category knowledge
- Support organic growth by anticipating clients’ business needs within sponsorship management and take an active role in facilitating trust in the relationships
People Management
- Support Analytics & Insights team members to ensure efficiency and effectiveness in their approach to managing their scope of responsibilities
- Onboard new team members and support ongoing learning and development across the team so that we may retain the best talent in the industry
- Provide ongoing feedback to coach Associate Consultants within the team
Culture Cultivation
- Contribute to maintaining and upholding a positive company culture
- Act as a Lumency champion throughout the marketing industry

Qualifications
Experience
- 2-4 years of direct experience in sponsorship marketing with an agency, property or in a brand role
- Strong exposure and competency in working with numbers and data within professional experience
- 1-2 years of people management experience
- Knowledge of the US market is an asset
- Experience in the beer and/or automotive categories is an asset
Education
- Post-secondary education in business administration, marketing or communications
