Job Summary

Under direction of the Sr. Director Human Resources, the Sr. HR Generalist provides tactical and strategic Human Resources consultation and support for leaders and employees across North America towards achieving identified business objectives and goals. Develops strategies and executes proven practices in the areas of performance management, talent development, talent acquisition, retention, change management, employee relations, employee engagement and diversity.  Drives execution of policies, procedures and programs in support of the day-to-day operation of the Human Resources functions within North America.  
 
Responsibilities 
 
* Understands organizational objectives and provides support and recommendations to leaders on performance management,  employee development, talent acquisition and employee relations
* Engages with business units in the development of annual performance reviews, organization  structure, job descriptions, change management
* Provides coaching, team building techniques, and conflict resolution to managers and employees
* Develops Human Resources solutions by collecting and analyzing information; recommending courses of action.
* Coordinates and executes organizational initiatives, projects and programs aligned with business requirements
* Works collaboratively with Talent Acquisition to ensure business teams are effectively staffed to support the business by working with hiring managers to clarify job specification, competency and skill requirements; and development of a talent acquisition plan which may include managing outsourced recruitment resources. 
* Conducts interviews and makes talent selection recommendations to hiring managers
* Works collaboratively with Talent Management function to create, deliver and continuously improve learning and development opportunities that address business needs
* Collaborates with hiring managers to prepare onboarding process for new employees; meets one on one with hiring managers and new hires to review onboarding progress
* Works with leaders to develop employees; create managerial developmental and succession plans 
* Improves employee performance by partnering with the business to identify and clarify problems, evaluate and implement potential solutions, coaching/counseling managers and employees
* Maintains and analyzes data, prepares reports and/or presentations needed to provide appropriate information required by leaders to make effective business decisions
* Conducts New Hire Orientation and other select training such as harassment, performance management, etc.
* Conducts harassment, discrimination, discipline, and other investigations as necessary
* Maintains knowledge and complies with Human Resources policies, federal, state, and local legal and regulatory requirements by keeping up to date on existing and new legislation; advises management on needed action
* Serves as point person for the exit  process
* Prepares reports in conformance with legislative requirements or organizational needs
* Assists Human Resources department with annual budget preparation 
* Other duties as assigned

* Proficient in MS Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook, Applicant Tracking System, and HRIS 
 
Education and Experience
 
* Five (5)+ years experience with progressively higher level responsibility within a dynamic Human Resources department 
* Professional HR Certification preferred
* Bachelor’s degree required, Masters preferred
 
Travel Requirement
 
* Up to 10%
