European Program Manager – EA SPORTS FIFA Competitive Gaming

We are looking for humble but driven digital natives who are passionate about competitive gaming, football, and who want to create the future of interactive entertainment. We are expanding our existing global team to strategically drive competitive gaming for the EA SPORTS FIFA franchise.

The European Program Manager is a vital member of the Program Management team within FIFA CGD and responsible delivering the strongest possible FIFA competitive gaming ecosystem in our primary global market. You’ll join a tightly integrated team that crafts strategies to drive the business forward by focusing on what excites our players and drives engagement. Your collaborative mindset will help build partnerships both internally with the development team and publishing organization, externally with third party partners, and agencies around the globe.

Responsibilities

The European Program Manager will drive EA SPORTS FIFA’s Competitive Gaming initiatives within key territories across Europe to meet the needs of our players through world class programs and activations.  This will be done in partnership with local EA cross functional teams.

Create and drive programs focused on:

• Engagement – inspire our existing players to prolong their experiences with competitive play in FUT Champions – our EA SPORTS FIFA in-game mode
• Viewership – drive fans to engage with EA SPORTS FIFA competitive gaming content
• Deliver best-in-class live events by partnering with 3rd party production teams to craft an unforgettable live event experience for our professional competitors and spectators
• Forge meaningful relationships with 3rd party tournament organizers and online communities to gather feedback, identify needs, and provide relevant information.
• Be the strategic partner for International Marketing Organisation (IMO) teams; collaborate and develop activity to maximise marketing value for IMO territories from EA and FIFA (org) ‘Major’ tournament events AND 3rd party partners tournament events.
• Serve as a Competitive Gaming functional expert and work with the Global Brand Management and Campaign Management teams to create plans that mesh with the overall franchise marketing plans.
• Serve as a Competitive Gaming functional expert and work with the Global Brand Partnerships and EA SPORTS FIFA Partnerships teams to deliver the most effective and integrated marketing activations
• Work with the studio on integrating European markets into campaign beats
• Integrate global brand opportunities to align with FIFA CGD roadmap with territory teams
• Work with our key European based football organisations, leagues and partner clubs to grow esports market share in the key European
• Provide consultation back to FIFA CGD team on activity in market
• Collate and field requests for all CGD programs in region
• Frequent international travel

Key Requirements

Preferences

• German or French business fluency
• Professional sports or professional gaming player experience
• Experience working in a centralized global marketing group
