Accountant

NASCAR Productions seeks a talented professional to join our team in the position Accountant based in our Charlotte, NC office. 

The Accountant plans and coordinates the day-to-day logistics of assigned projects and shows. The position will also perform administrative tasks as assigned.

Primary Roles & Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Manage the division’s capital budgeting process; work with the business to understand project details including timing of completion

Compile and review payroll; provide analysis and reporting

Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations and analyses to enable timely preparation of monthly and annual consolidated financial statements in accordance with GAAP

Analyze, prepare entries, and write reports detailing internal costs and allocations

Provide accurate and timely information/analysis to support requests by Corporate Accounting as well as internal and external auditors

Collaborate with Payroll department to ensure all division employees are allocated and coded to the correct department

Manage monthly coding, analysis and audit of P-Card transactions

Assist controller with preparation of monthly project cost information

Prepare monthly reporting of PSV projects and freelance expense

Manage Xytech billing of PSV, IMSA, and Digital Video Production projects

Create and distribute list of current project/subaccount/track details; open new subaccounts when needed

Ensure compliance with internal accounting policies and procedures; recommend modifications to existing policies and procedures when appropriate

QUALIFICATIONS 

Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university and minimum of four (4) years accounting experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
