Job Summary
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- To consistently provide a world class ballpark experience that exceeds guests’ expectations by using good judgment and common sense without compromising facility safety and security
- Provide a positive ballpark experience for all guests and employees at Petco Park
- Serve as a ballpark information specialist and respond appropriately to guest comments, questions and requests throughout the ballpark, as well the immediate surrounding areas
- Act as a ballpark directional resource outside major gate entries and other designated locations during event ingress and egress
- Provide guests with maps and information about the Padres, Petco Park, neighboring communities, and transportation and parking, as well as distribute Assisted Listening Devices
- Coordinate guest wheelchair escorts and other ballpark services as needed by guests and Petco Park Team Members
- Provide guests with directions to seating areas, restrooms, concession stands, novelty shops and other Petco Park services and amenities
- Serve as ingress and egress directional staff outside Petco Park (i.e. ballpark entries, key pedestrian pathways, etc.)
- Actively participate in all organizational ballpark service initiatives (i.e. designated drivers, ballpark service surveys and benchmarking, etc.)
- Enforce ballpark policies and procedures
- Assume other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Padres Management
JOB REQUIREMENTS: Must meet the following minimum requirements.
- Be available to work a variety of shifts including days, evenings, weekends, holidays and requested overtime
- At least three (3) years of customer service experience in a fast-paced, busy environment and able to handle a variety of customer demands and needs in a professional manner
- Ability to read, understand and communicate Petco Park policies and procedures or other Ballpark information
- Able to walk/stand for long periods of time, as well as travel to many areas of the ballpark on a given night
- Able to work in extended periods of sun and weather exposure outside the ballpark
- Strong ability to work well with co-workers and supervisors in a team environment
- Successfully pass a pre-employment screening including background check, past employment verification and substance testing
- Fluently bi-lingual in English and Spanish is a plus
