Job Description

Anthony Travel, the leader in university and sports travel management, is looking for an Operation’s Manager to lead our onsite Notre Dame university travel team and other university business travel programs. This role collaborates with the VP and Director of Operations, University Business Travel to provide operational excellence and creative travel solutions for individual, group, domestic and international travel. The Operation’s Managers primary responsibilities include developing, managing, and leading the Notre Dame onsite travel team and supporting other university travel service teams. This role successfully manages travel teams, develops and implements travel management strategies and operational efficiencies across the country. This role will help us and our clients succeed by providing extraordinary service and creative travel solutions. The ideal location for this position is in South Bend, Indiana.

Leadership

  • Provide operational leadership and direction to the travel teams
  • Effectively lead direct reports and support staff including hiring, training, compensating, motivating, reviewing and terminating
  • Establish regular operational meetings focused on defined initiatives, operational activities and ongoing client support

Operations

  • Successfully manage the daily needs of the customers and meet the objectives of the company's overall business plans and strategies
  • Develop travel agent training programs that deliver world-class service to client’s travelers
  • Provide full-service travel support to client VIP’s and group travel as needed

Process Improvement

  • Develop and deploy standard processes and continuous improvements within the university travel division.
  • Refine, develop and implement operational efficiency initiatives in coordination with primary client goals
  • Identify, initiate, and develop relationships within Anthony Travel
  • Understand the travel workflow including needs gathering, travel search, booking, processing, invoicing and reporting
  • Work with Sabre, SAP Concur, Compleat, Booking Builder, SureWare,  Magnatech, GRASP Technologies and other partners to streamline the reservation flow.

Reporting Relationships and Working Conditions (legal)

  • Reports directly to the Vice-President, University Business Travel and dotted line to the Director of Operations
  • Salaried position with benefits
