Job Summary

Job Summary: We are seeking a passionate and energetic Director of Athletics to lead its vibrant athletic department as an important part of the educational program at our school. Each student-athlete will learn the importance of teamwork, team discipline, respect for the rules and others, appreciation of an active and healthy lifestyle and the joy of competition. 

Job Responsibilities: 

• Organizing and administering the school’s program of extracurricular athletics
• Selecting athletic coaches and trainers
• Supervising ongoing training programs for all coaches
• Assuming responsibility for the proper supervision of home games
• Arranging for transportation to competitions
• Developing and implementing appropriate rules and regulations
• Verifying each athlete’s eligibility according to established physical and academic requirements
• Preparing the athletic program budget 
• Monitoring ticket sales and fundraising events
• Arranging for the physical examination of all athletes 
• Working with the CFO to administer the insurance program covering school athletes 
• Fostering strong school community relations

Qualifications:

• Coaching and/or administrative experience
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Completion of a Bachelor’s degree is required

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Completion of a Master's Degree 
• Prior experience in education
