Job Summary
Reporting to the Director for Marketing, Promotions, and Fan Engagement the Assistant Director for Marketing, Promotions, and Fan Engagement is responsible for providing support for all marketing and promotions areas for the Athletics Department.
This individual develops and implements an aggressive marketing, advertising, and promotion plan for all assigned sport programs including but not limited to women’s volleyball, women’s basketball, and baseball. The individual will also have a strong focus on increasing revenue, fan attendance, in-game and pre-game experiences, and ticket sales.
This position will be charged to increase awareness through print and electronic media, advertising, web content, community partners, and social media platforms. The individual will assist in the development and execution of plans geared towards increasing visibility and brand awareness, increase exposure for Athletics in the local communities, the campus, state, and regionally by creating, developing, implementing, and executing the fan engagement plan, and all the initiatives included under this umbrella.
This position is also responsible for creating and developing marketing plans for women’s volleyball, women’s basketball, and baseball; creating game scripts to match the game day marketing plans; and organizing many other special events.
The individual will be responsible to focus on strategies to represent at exhibits and local events; collaborating with traditional as well as electronic communications to season ticket holders, alumni, students, faculty/staff and fans; working with the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) on community outreach.
Collaborating with the Chamber of Commerce and other community organizations; arranging for coaches and student athletes to interact with the campus and community; this position will coordinate and supervise the distribution of promotional materials; Overseeing Athletics social media accounts. Supports Game Day Operations and Ticket Sales by independently creating game scripts to match supervised sports; Managing on field/court game promotions and events.
Bachelor's degree required from regionally accredited institution. 1 year marketing experience preferred.
