Job Summary

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Responsible for athletic training services for A-State Club Sports participants. 
• Advise and assist the Executive Director of Student Health and Wellness, and the Director of Campus Recreation with all emergency action plans, coordination of CPR certifications for professional staff and part-time student workers, wellness program planning, and facility upkeep.
• Assist with the supervision of the Red W.O.L.F. Center and intramural facilities, including the training and supervision of part-time student workers.
• Attends to injuries of club sports participants, arranges for medical treatment, assess the degree of injury, describes injuries and arranges for transportation to a medical facility, if necessary.
• Assists in determining athletic training needs, demonstrates and monitors exercise programs, and prescribes exercises to individual needs. 
• Ensures first aid liquids, ice, and other precautionary aids are available for use.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

• Knowledge and skilled in medical treatments for athletes.

General Days/Hours:

General workweek hours, many evenings and weekends.

Other:

This position reports to the A-State Executive Director of Student Health and Wellness.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor Degree in related field required.
• Must be certified by the Board of Certification (BOC) and possess or be able to obtain athletic training licensure in the State of Arkansas within the first month of employment.
