Job Summary

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  •  Maintain all employee/player files and related record keeping of personnel data, workers compensation, contracts, I-9 records, and drug/background screening results
  • Process all Personnel Actions Forms (PAF’s) for new hires, separations, annual merit reviews and all other employee status changes
  • Assist employees with questions/issues regarding payroll, benefits and HR process and procedures
  • Provide support and assistance for recruitment activities (job postings, sourcing, coordination of interviews, pre-screening candidates) for positions within the company, issue drug/background checks for new hires  
  • Participate in/conduct employee meetings where appropriate (such as new employee orientation, annual benefit enrollment meetings, etc.) 
  • Responsible for the integrity, security, and confidentiality of employee data including ensuring compliance of all documents and administering record retention and purging of personnel files
  • Process verification of employment for employers, lending institutions, and any other outside parties requesting employee information, as per Company policy
  • Cross-train with Corporate Human Resources Professionals (Benefits, Payroll, and Talent Management etc.) in order to obtain a well-rounded knowledge base
  • Assist in planning employee appreciation/wellness initiatives including Staff Retreat and All Staff Meetings 
  • Assist in preparing and maintaining job descriptions for exempt and non-exempt positions
  • Coordinate annual training including mandatory state and federal training requirements


SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY:

  •  The Human Resources Coordinator must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skill and abilities:
  •  Ability to professionally handle confidential and sensitive information 
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast pace, changing work environment
  • Ability to work well under pressure while performing multiple tasks 
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Detailed oriented with a focus on quality 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel and Outlook)  
  • Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems/Payroll processing systems a plus 
  • Ability to read, interpret, and disseminate information on Company policies to employees and management
  • Working knowledge of state and federal employment laws
  • Excellent administrative and interpersonal skills
  • Experience working in sports/entertainment a plus

 QUALIFICATION STANDARDS: 

  • Education: Bachelor of Arts/Sciences Degree (4-year) Experience: A minimum of 2-4 years of related experience
