Job Summary
Coaches, recruits, develops, organize, and directs all facets of intercollegiate Men's Soccer program at the College; recommends and administers budgets; supervises assistant coaches; knowlegeable of transfer and eligibility rules concerning NCAA, NJCAA and NAIA; and will abide by all institutional, district, ACCAC, and NJCAA rules and regulations.
Essential Functions
50%- Provides practice and game management for the Men's Soccer Team
25%- Recruits student athletes and proved transfer placement assistance for sophmores
10%- Provides Office and budget administration
15%- Provides academic advisement and performs other duties assigned by the Athletics Director
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and two (2) year of coaching experience at the club, high school, or collegiate level; ability to help students balance academic and athletic success; possess a valid class C Driver's License and a Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card (Arizona), Preferred Class D Coach's Certification
Special Working Conditions
- Possession of a valid State Class D driver's license is required; must meet minumum standards regarding driving;
- Travel to campus during interview/selection process will be at candidate's own expense
- Will be rquired to travel; or be assigned to all MCCCD/GCC locations
- May require numerous evenings or weekends
- May require prolonged periods of viewing a computer screen
- May be required to lift or carry up to 50 lbs
