Job Summary

Departmental Goal

  • Ensure equipment needs are met from a player, team, and league perspective to support success on the court and as a brand.

Objective

  • Assist with management of inventory, team attendants, and vendors to ensure equipment needs for players and staff are met in a responsive and responsible manner. 

Position Summary

  • Responsible for supporting the equipment needs of the NBA Team at the practice facility, home arena, and on the road
  • Requires a high level of organization and a service mentality.
  • Organization of inventory and service to players.
  • Keep all locker room and on-court items stocked, organized, and accessible.
  • Feedback from head equipment manager, team attendants, training staff, and management.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist the head equipment manager in providing equipment for the NBA Team players, coaches, and relevant support staff.
  • Attend home/away games and practices during the offseason, preseason, regular season, and postseason.
  • Set up equipment needs for both home and away games as well as practices and workouts.
  • Assist visiting teams with unloading/loading trucks/busses at Staples Center, including visiting team locker room needs.
  • Assist with day-to-day organization of equipment, storage, and locker rooms.
  • Assist with overseeing and managing team attendants, including planning and coordinating work schedules, assigning duties, and providing relevant training.
  • Assist with overseeing the transportation of equipment.
  • Assist in providing equipment for team business needs, such as sponsorship film shoots and season ticket holder events.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (required).
  • Minimum of two years’ experience working as a team attendant or assistant equipment manager for a professional or collegiate sports team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Familiarity with inventory management system.
  • Must be available to travel to away games.
