Job Summary

Job Description

  • Responsible for the implementation, management, and administration of all aspects of a successful NAIA program.
  • Oversee all Intercollegiate Athletics personnel.
  • Supervise all programs to ensure competitive performance and the satisfactory growth and development of student-athletes. 

Essential Job Duties

  • Direct and supervise the administration of the men's and women's athletic programs.
  • Provide oversight of all administrative, compliance, operational, and business functions in accordance with NAIA, Conference, and institutional policies and procedures. 
  • Ensure that all Department members have full knowledge of, and abide by, the rules and regulations of the University, Conference, and the NAIA. 
  • Recruit and select all staffing personnel, including the hiring of all head coaches.
  • Delegate responsibilities as necessary to assure efficient and productive operations of all administrative and athletic activities.
  • Develop and maintain departmental policies and procedures, including the preparation of an operational manual, necessary to effectively manage the University athletic program.
  • Approve all Conference and non-Conference schedules. 
  • Approve initial scholarship awards, renewals, and non-renewals. Oversee certification of student-athletes. 
  • Direct all revenue generating activities. 
  • Develop long-range administrative, operational, compliance, and athletic plans and goals.
  • Organize, direct, and participate in activities that will promote a positive public image of the University on-campus, locally, regionally, and nationally. 
  • Serve on University, Conference, and NAIA committees as requested.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree
  • 3-5 years in NAIA and/or NCAA Athletic Department.
  • 3-5 years of management experience. 
  • Knowledge of NAIA rules and requirements.
  • Proficient computer skills.
  • Excellent public speaking skills.
  • Full time position that requires day, evening, and weekend availability.
