Job Summary

Job Summary
  • Position reports to the Guest Services Manager.
  • Responsible for providing hands-on support to ensure efficient operation of skate rental and the on-ice safety of all guests.
  • Assist the guest service manager with a variety of tasks related to guest experience and marketing. 
Essential Functions
  • Monitors all public session skating events both on and off the ice. 
  • Participate in keeping all areas of the facility neat, clean and safe at all times. These duties include sweeping and mopping the rink restrooms, locker rooms, lobby, meeting rooms, bleachers and removing trash, etc. 
  • During public skating, issues skates and monitors the skate rental counter. 
  • Maintains rental skates.
  • Supervises skating to ensure safe operations. 
  • Administers first-aid as required. 
  • Maintain first-aid supply logs and ordering forms.
  • Assist in supervising skate rental employees including scheduling and maintaining availability calendar. 
  • Resolves differences fairly and with good judgment.
  • Assist in planning and execution of Public Skating events.
  • Provides excellent customer service at all times and ensures that all policies are properly implemented. 
  • Be able to work with and supervisor skate guards. 
  • Understand and follow ice arena policies.
  • Knows emergency procedures for building and evacuation plan. 
  • Ensures the overall cleanliness of the obby and rentals areas. 
  • Making cold calls for summer camp bookings.
  • Assists with Marketing and events as assigned.
Qualifications
  • 18 or older, college student preferred.
  • Strong Ice-Skating skills; must be able to skate and pass a skating test.
  • Effective leadership skills 
  • Must have a positive attitude and be willing to work.
  • Prior Ice-Skating rink experience preferred. 
  • Ability to stay organized and on-task.
  • Professional appearance and presentation.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
