Assistant Director of Video and Network Production

Job Summary

Job Description

• Be a key stakeholder in supporting the creative needs of University Athletics.
• In cooperation with the Director of Video & Network Production, be responsible for all aspects of creative video content for the athletics department and its 27 Division I programs.
• Position reports directly to the Director of Video & Network Production.
• Manages on-demand content for the university's website and University Athletics social media channels, including:

1. Conceptualizing and developing content
2. Creating storyboards
3. Shooting
4. Editing
5. Other postproduction work.

• Work alongside the director to produce and direct broadcasts for the Patriot League Network, NESN and Atlantic Hockey TV.

Major Areas of Responsibility

• Develop creative video content to support and enhance revenue generation, organizational branding and recruiting.
• Conceptualize, script, shoot, edit and produce hype, feature and highlight videos of varying lengths to promote teams, student-athletes and events.
• Produce compelling creative content for social media, web and recruiting initiatives that is on brand and on message.
• Collaborate with multiple departments and programs, including creative content team, communications, marketing and ticketing.
• Enhance and elevate the Athletics brand through strategic creative decisions, commitment to forward-thinking ideas and strong understanding of industry trends.
• Assist with daily social media content creation and/or idea generation.
• Manage multiple projects concurrently, working within budget and scheduling requirements.
• Generate and execute ideas from concept through completion.
• Assist the director with execution of live broadcasts.
• Experience producing motion graphics is a plus.
• Ideal candidate will be an energetic, dynamic storyteller.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree
• Must have demonstrated experience within the field.
• Experience working with Newtek Tricaster and 3Play, AJT graphics and Wirecast software.
• Expert-level experience with Adobe Creative Suite, including Premiere Pro and After Effects.
• Demonstrated experience producing for social media platforms.

• Experience collaborating effectively with a team and working cross-functionally to achieve department goals.
• Ability to lead team of professionals, student workers and interns on gamedays and in office.
• Must be able to lift 35 pounds and stand for multiple hours at a time.
