Athletic Director

• Responsible for all operations of the athletic program including hiring and supervising coaches, communicating information to students and parents, managing game-day operations, and traveling to away games.

Qualifications

• Bachelors’ degree required.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• PA Teacher Certification and/or prior secondary school teaching experience desirable.
• 3- 5 years of experience as a high school administrator; in the area of athletics is preferred. 
• High school or comparable coaching experience.
• Proven ability to foster positive leadership among student-athletes. 
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills. 
• Excellent organizational strategies with the ability to manage complicated logistics efficiently and effectively. 
• Understanding of the adolescent athlete while being flexible and energetic. 
• Ability to confer with parents and scholar-athletes in a cooperative effort to understand the scholar-athlete and to encourage progress.
• A collaborative, inclusive approach to all aspects of school life. 
• Understanding and appreciation of the school's mission and be willing and able to promote Spiritan values. 
• Highest level of ethical and professional behavior and standards, acting as a role model.
