Job Overview
  • Responsibilities include development, implementation, and ongoing measurement of plans to grow organizational revenue through the sales of youth baseball programs, season ticket packages, and group ticket sales. 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Coordinate preparation and execution of all aspects of youth baseball including:
  1. Creating yearly packages and marketing plan.
  2. Retaining youth baseball teams year over year.
  3. Creating new sales.
  • Maximize sales opportunities for youth baseball through group tickets and hospitality areas.
  • Develop strong account relationships through scheduled and strategic account touchpoints.
  • Identify opportunities to up-sell current client base.
  • Provide world class customer service to existing group accounts and season ticket package clients.
  • Contact leads for new group and season ticket packages through aggressive outbound sales efforts.
  • Prospect for new clientele (groups and season tickets).
  • Attend/staff networking, marketing and community events as needed.
  • Conduct in-person sales-related client meetings both out of the office and in the ballpark.
  • Host and visit current and prospective clients during home games.
  • Maintain organized computerized records of all current and prospective clients in company database.
  • Submit prompt accurate reports and maintain up-to-date accurate account records.
  • Attain individual and departmental sales goals set by management.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Four-year degree in Sports Management, Marketing, Business Management or a related field from an accredited college or university. 
  • Minimum of two years’ experience in professional team sports environment or youth-serving organization. 
  • Demonstrated ability to creatively plan, coordinate, and evaluate quality youth programs. 
  • Ability to work with children and young adults in a professional manner; upbeat and friendly personality with a passion for baseball. 
  • Must possess excellent communication skills; be organized and take initiative.
  • Possess strong time management skills and the ability to multitask.  
  • Strong customer service approach with experience in multitasking with multiple work-intensive projects.  
  • Must be a self-starter and have strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in team environment.
  • Proactive planner with a sense of urgency, creativity, style, and attention to detail. 
  • Must be comfortable working normal business hours and home games, including weeknights, weekends and holidays. 
  • Prior experience playing baseball preferred, but not required.
