Assistant Coach - Women's Lacrosse (multiple positions available)

Job Summary

Job Overview

• Position is under the direct supervision of the Head Coach.
• Assists in the coordination of a Women’s Lacrosse intercollegiate athletic program which provides an opportunity for student-athletes to train and compete on a competitive, Division I women’s lacrosse program while attending school to earn a college degree.

Key Duties 

• Assists in establishing and maintaining a nationally competitive intercollegiate women’s lacrosse team within the Conference and NCAA.
• Recruits high level academically and athletically skilled female students to attend the University to earn a degree and to compete in the women’s lacrosse program.
• Assists in organizing and conducting practices and competitions at a high level of efficiency and success.
• Assists in developing, teaching and instructing the student-athletes in the proper rules of competition, conditioning. skills and techniques on the field and in life-skills and leadership qualities on and off the field.
• Assists in fundraising and public relations events that support the objectives of the program and allow for program enhancements. 

Qualifications 

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Knowledge of  NCAA  regulations relative to proper rules of play in the sport of lacrosse.
• Good organization skills
• Ability to communicate with student-athletes and the media.
• Computer literate
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.
• High school or collegiate lacrosse coaching and competition experience preferred.
• Knowledge of Conference and NCAA regulations preferred.
• Must be able to use a computer, email, editing equipment and recruiting database software.
