Job Summary

A successful candidate for the position must have:

  • Certification in CPR/AED/Basic First Aid preferred or within three months of hire.
  • Current valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
  • Experience with New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) policies and rules is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience creating policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrated experience in athletic facility management.
  • Demonstrated experience in budget management and financial planning.
  • College coaching/recruiting experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with the academic environment and higher education, preferably the liberal arts.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to develop and maintain collegial relationships.  Must be flexible, collaborative and have a positive attitude.
  • Excellent communication (written, verbal & listening) skills.
  • Impeccable discretion and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to synthesize complex or diverse information.
  • Ability to work independently, set priorities to achieve objectives and handle diverse assignments/projects with minimal supervision.
  • Impeccable organizational skills and ability to coordinate resources and staff within the college community.
  • Ability to foster and manager change within complex organizations.
  • Ability to think and plan strategically for short and long-term programmatic needs.
  • Proficiency in basic data management systems and basic computer software (e.g., Microsoft Word and Excel, Power Point, Google docs, email and calendaring.)
  • Willingness and ability to learn additional software as needed.
  • Ability and willingness to travel (by car, air, train or bus) domestically and internationally as needed. 
  • Ability and willingness to work weekends, evenings & other non-traditional schedules.
  • Personal commitment to excellence and the mission of a top-tier small liberal arts college.
  • Demonstrated awareness of, sensitivity and commitment to diversity and inclusivity and to serving the needs of a culturally and educationally diverse and inclusive community with diplomacy and tact.
  • Successful completion of a background check.
