Job Summary

Job Description Job Title:General Manager Reports To:President/ Vice President Hours per Week:Full Time Company seeks a highly motivated, self-starter to manage the day to day operations of the sports facility. Responsibilities include all aspects of the facilities including outside sales, field time management and delivery of services. Administration • Schedule all full time and part time employees working at the facility to ensure proper coverage in all areas • Responsible for hiring all full time & part time workers; provide orientation for said employees, and monitoring their progress on a daily/weekly basis providing a high level, working environment to assure maximum production; review and assess any disciplinary/productivity issues • Develop pricing strategies based on demand and SSP costs with Director of Fields • Utilize Interns when possible; find school partner, write job descriptions, hire, review and manage • Report field and retail sales reports to the President monthly Operations: • Responsible for the delivery of all services provided at the facility • Ensure areas of responsibility run productively and efficiently, always attempting to minimize downtime • Directly supervise, monitor and follow up on scheduled work with all employees in area of responsibility (AOR) • Ensure rentals, leagues and all programs are running on time and in an efficient manner during business hours • Customer Service; answer phones, assist guests with customer service needs including team/player registration and payment • Provide a safe environment for all customers, guests and employees • Recommend upgrades to equipment and facility to the President, provide pricing bids when needed • Maintain proper Sanitation standards that meet federal and state regulations • Present the facility to the public with exceptional cleanliness and in an organized, well maintained fashion at all times Open/Close facility: · Ensure the proper use and care of equipment in facility · Ensure the safety of the building from fire, flood and other hazards · Ensure the safety of the customers; discipline when necessary · Maintain the efficiency and good working conditions of the facilities · Close the facility to ensure proper security · Verify SOPs are completed and signed off before closing the facility · Participate in Field setup, preparation and breakdown, including balls, equipment, referees · First Response employee; AED, First Aid, CPR · Assist in all other areas when needed Programs and Fields · Oversee and Assist in Designing age specific leagues and tournaments targeting youth and adult customers, formatting these specifically to age groups and experience levels · Assist in Scheduling all leagues/tournaments, and outside rentals for field time · Oversee, Develop and communicate a Calendar for leagues and tournaments · Review and evaluate sales per program and per field; make program/field adjustments to maximize sales · Design and administer registration for all programs, leagues, tournaments and camps · Design and administer procedures to ensure schedules are followed Marketing: Website, Social Media & Advertising · Responsible for the communication of all programs, leagues, tournaments and camps · Re-develop the SSP website; including communicating all programs and tournaments, promoting community and sponsorship opportunities · Create the social media strategy, ensure its effectiveness and ensure the adoption of relevant social media techniques · Coordinate, direct and lead the daily production of social media content · Sell sponsorships/signage throughout the facility; identify all advertising opportunities within the facility, generate leads and finalize contracts. · Create relationships with local media in TV, radio, newspapers, magazines and newsletters within the SSP community · Build PR through media and word of mouth throughout the soccer community · Update website on a daily basis to keep customers up to date with regard to scores, schedules, news, and any other updates as needed · Maintain the facility database for marketing, increase and improve database numbers · Attend local Club and Coaches meetings to encourage participation · Stay in contact with ODP and various soccer organizations and Academies · Grow customer base; renew returning/annual customers Skills and Attributes: • Highly and self motivated with a desire to be successful • Excellent verbal communication skills • Ability to organize and prioritize tasks • Positive attitude and great work ethic • Ability to work well within a team environment • Flexibility to work weekends and nights • Assist in all areas when needed
