Job Summary

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical system within facility, troubleshoot Electrical issues in a safe manner, also must have ability to ready electrical blue prints and associated drawings.  
• Ability to progress projects from beginning to end in a safe and timely manner and ensure that work is in accordance with National Electrical Codes.

• Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical equipment or electronic wiring, appliances, lighting fixtures. Must be proficient at using hand tools and power tools.


• Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.


• Maintain Electrical Department Stock, issue and complete work orders based on priority.


• Plan layout and installation of electrical projects based on job specifications and local codes.


• Prepare sketches or follow blueprints to determine the location of wiring and equipment and to ensure conformance to building and safety codes.


• An ability to follow lock out/tag out safety guide lines in accordance with NFPA 70E.


• Ability to oversee electrical installations and maintenance projects by outside contractors.


• Skilled in the operation of aerial lift equipment.  


• All other duties as assigned.
  
   

• Knowledge of machines and tools including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.


• Ability to read electrical drawings and schematics. 


• Ability to work independently on projects.


• Ability to bend conduit to meet codes.
