Recruiting Assistant

Job Summary

Key Duties:

• Maintains a large database of prospective student-athletes, with an emphasis placed on updating and manipulating the information to suit the needs of the coaching staff.
• Coordinates and executes a system of mailings and general correspondence for prospective student-athletes and high school coaches.
• Assists the staff with the planning, organization and execution of all major recruiting functions, including both official and unofficial visits.
• Records a detailed log of all videotapes submitted to the office by prospective student-athletes, high school coaches and scouting services.
• Monitors the Internet for any information about prospective student-athletes that could assist the coaching staff in the recruiting process.
• Serves as host to high school coaches, prospective student-athletes and other important persons during practice sessions.

Minimum Education and Experience:

• Requires a bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Computer literate
• Knowledge of Conferences and rules and regulations.
• Use of personal vehicle in order to travel for business demands; a valid driver's license would be required for this position.

Equipment Utilized:

• Microsoft Office, Outlook, Recruiting Radar, and our recruiting website.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

• Nights and weekends will be required.
